My name is Stephanie and I would love to welcome you to my blog!
If you’d like to get started and get to know me better, here’s something cool for you to enjoy…
The day has come! I cannot believe I have FINALLY started a blog. I have toyed with the idea for years. However, life happens and so do excuses. “It’s too much work, I won’t succeed, no one cares what I have to say, etc.”
At first, I was very busy. There was a cross country move, a baby, and a first home purchase. My husband had a bunch of job changes, and we struggled (still do) with money. This usually equals: working more hours or finding a better job. Hubby did that but this now means he will be home way less.
Then, it happened. I decided my work life needed to change. There had to be something more I could do for my family and myself. I wanted to take control of my work life and be able to do what I wanted and when.
I currently work part-time as a virtual assistant while getting to stay home and raise my son. That opportunity is worth everything because being a mom comes first for me. But I also want something that is mine. What if I was able to stay home with my son, doing something I love that results in financial freedom? YES PLEASE!!!
The blogging thing came to mind. If you do it right, it can be a lucrative business and you can start great relationships. This was going to work; I jumped in and haven’t looked back!
Researching things to death is kind of my thing, and so that is what I did. Google and Pinterest’s resources were exhausted. Reading other people’s blogs helped me get ideas and learn how to start one.
I am so excited to see how this adventure turns out. My plan is for this blog to be about my life and passions (It could change down the road, but who knows?). Sharing life stories and how-tos are some of my favorite things. This is going to be so challenging. It is a little scary, putting my ideas out there for the world to see.
All I need now is an audience who doesn’t mind hearing my stories and wants to learn from me. Thank you so much for being on this journey with me. I hope you can learn as much as I have through my experiences, and please, always ask if there is anything specific you need.
